CHP Seeks Driver In Pedestrian Hit & Run

San Andreas, CA... Mr. Kerstan was walking southbound on the sidewalk of SR -49 and California Street, when he stepped off the sidewalk and into the crosswalk. Mr. Kerstan noticed the approaching vehicle was slowing so he began to cross the street. While Mr. Kerstan was in the crosswalk, the vehicle struck Mr. Kerstan and then fled southbound on SR- 49.

The vehicle was described as a black or gray colored sedan. Witnesses were unable to obtain a license plate.

This collision is still under investigation. If you have any information relating to the hit and run suspect or vehicle, please contact the San Andreas CHP at 209-754-3541.
