Completion Of 21-Mile Paving Project Brings Improvements On SR 4 In Calaveras County
Calaveras County, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has recently completed a $5.1 million roadway surface rehabilitation project to repave 21 miles of State Route 4 (SR-4) in Calaveras County.
The maintenance overlay for pavement preservation typically extends life of the road surface for three to five years.
Construction occurred on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from the Calaveras/Stanislaus County line, through Copperopolis, to SR-49 in Angels Camp.
Caltrans would like to extend its appreciation to motorists and residents for their patience during construction of the SR-4 RHMA Overlay Preservation Project.
