Ms. Hance stated, “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the community and work with such dedicated Staff and Board. We live in a very caring and giving community where people work together to help one another. I got to see this daily at ATCAA.” Regarding my retirement; “with Raj, our strong Leadership Team, and Board, ATCAA will thrive and grow. It is a pleasure to retire knowing ATCAA is in such good hands.”

Mr. Rambob began with ATCAA in September, as the Introductory Executive for orientation.
Raj comes to ATCAA with a Masters in Community Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Raj has an extensive background in K-12 education as a teacher and site administrator. Raj has been a non-profit Executive Director for many years primarily in the area of homelessness in El Dorado County and San Mateo County. He also served as Executive Director of a healthcare workforce development program in Oregon and in that position covered six Southwestern Counties (approximately 17,000 square miles).

ATCAA Board Vice Chairman, Lloyd Schneider commented, “The Board has worked very hard to bring in a new Director with strong leadership skills and belief in ATCAA’s mission and vision. They have done an excellent job.”

Raj says, “I am thrilled to be part of an organization that serves the community in meaningful ways. Listening to each other and collaborating solves many problems and ATCAA has been doing this for many years. It is an honor to be part of a committed and capable team.”

ATCAA’s current Tuolumne County programs include Early/Head Start, Family Learning Center, Latino Family Outreach, Homeless and Housing Services, Energy and Water Conservation Services, Foodbank, Mentoring Works, Friday Night Live, Club Live, Suicide Prevention, Youth/ Mental Health First Aid, Tax, YES Partnership, Smart Money budget classes, and tax assistance.

The Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) was created in 1981 as a public entity, through a joint powers agreement between Amador and Tuolumne Counties. ATCAA provides services based on local community assessments that identify community assets and needs; “Helping people, changing lives”.

The ATCAA Board of Directors is a tripartite board consisting of fifteen members representing the private sector, public sector and low‒income representatives of our community. The unique structure of a Community Action Agency Board brings together diverse community leaders able to readily respond to community needs.

ATCAA manages an annual budget of over $8.5 million of Federal, State and private funds with an additional $1.5 million of in‒kind support. Services are supported by dedicated donors, over 1,000 volunteers and 150 staff, who all play a critical role in the success of ATCAA’s services.

For information about ATCAA services, making a donation, or volunteering, contact the Agency at (209) 533-1397 or through its website http://www.atcaa.org.
