Our illustrious sheriff misses the state of the county meeting, on the one year anniversary of the Butte Fire,, because he goes four wheeling, sends one of his captains who is late and on 9/11, puts it all over his Facebook page how much fun he was having with no mention of the Butte Fire or 9/11....what a good example of a public servant! He is such a tool, and the BOS put him there. I guess they didnt tell him what to do it his time and his true inexperienced, unpatriotic selfish colors are starting g to show.

The Sheriff's aren't public servant's, nor they serve the civil crimes or civil matters. Found out myself calling 911. The sheriff''s treated me like I was a criminal and wasting their time. I walked up to them lifted my shirt and hands up so to show I'm unarmed and come in peace. While talking to them about the civil matter the both sheriffs' hands were hovering over their side arms. I was emotional for what happened when your gf comes home crying and upset on a male neighbor confronting her.

I told the 2 sheriff's' to go down there and investigate the area yourselves since they weren't taking my word on where we were walking our dog to rehab her leg from surgery. Because I'm feeling I have rights as American Citizen to speak the truth I didn't give up on what I knew was in the right. The Sheriffs' yells at me to shut up and be quiet. Only speak when spoken to. So I felt belittled, scared from seeing where their hands were and spoke to me like a child or pet. Then I sat on the public street since both sheriffs' stopped at end of my driveway and told us to come down to talk to them. So I sat down with hands up in air waiting till was my turn to speak. To me law enforcement suppose to investigate the calls when they are called upon not come out and assume already I'm in the wrong without investigating. Then when I didn't shut up about the situation the 2 sheriffs' finally went and investigated then I point out is public property not private cause of the 2 plastic stakes in ground stating U.S. Forest Service 'No Motor Vehicles Beyond this Point'. With 2 huge boulders in front of the posted stakes. The Sheriffs's said not to worry about those signs they don't mean *bleep*. I'm like no they state is public property not private property. No markers to state property lines nor private property signs or markings. Sheriff's point out in the air see there it is I said where he says there dirt. Then Sheriff Alvarez says "You know what not to do Right?" I'm say "What?" Sheriff Alvarez says "You don't Assume!" I'm like "I don't Assume? I'm telling you the truth and I didn't shut up till you finally investigated the scene." I said "You Assumed you were right before showing up to the 911 scene." I told him "This is the reason now I don't trust nor will call you Sheriff's anymore." I try to file a complaint at Sheriff's office I'm told by fellow officers is not worth to file nothing will happen. That the Supervisor Stark Badge #111 will give a "Good Stiff Talking To!" I went next day to the U.S. Forest Service to find out where I was out was true public property. It took 4 different maps to zoom into that site sure enough is public property is marked all in green. I called a local lawyer to find out my rights are when Sheriff's show up upon 911 call. The lawyer says you don't have any rights when law enforcement shows up. That you can't control the attitude of a Sheriff. Then I find out the Sheriff's office complaint department was corrupt not taking reports from complaints or recording them. I can see why I was passed around trying to file a complaint or speak to a supervisor about how I was treated.

In my conclusion from calling 911 is make your own report of what happened so there is proof on your side what happened. I tried to find my report taken online through Sheriff's logs. Well my 911 call happened 1/18/2015 at 11:43 am Disturbance:1501180044. So I come to find out is a civil dispute matter. I look on the report as many many other reports up here and other areas STATUS: NO REPORT TAKEN. So there is no proof of it happening of your incident but a print out stating what the Sheriff reported. I looked up Sheriff's duties are for banks, serving warrants, serving eviction orders, Sheriff's are part of the British Rule here in USA. I wrote years ago in my journal "WE ARE ALL ON OUR OWN!" Now I truly believe this comment I wrote. I wrote it with the police interactions living in the city life and town lives. Police don't "Serve and Protect" any more they took those stickers off way back. Police and law enforcement only protect their own from police unions, criminal lawyers, civil lawyers, law enforcement officers, federal government, etc the list goes on. Well whom out of those is out there to protect us from harm or death? Since the Justice Department is rigged by greedy lawyers. Be safe out there and keep your own records in life so you have your word of truth with proof.

Hey smart person, 911 is for bona fide emergencies, life or death, someone is bleeding, etc. not civil matters. You are one of those people who demand your rights be observed when you don't know your rights to start with. Go back to where you came from, you are not a local.

            Trust the CCSO?

You'd be better-off trusting in The Tick to save the day.

This County needs a CopWatch observer like 20 years ago to get some on this crap down on video.

A GO PRO will protect your rights as citizen so you have a voice when your dead or proof of the interaction with law enforcement. Since we already have trust in them Sheriff's too but when they don't wear body cams or POV's CAMS to protect their word and trust from Sheriff officers. I have a friend with 2 GO PROs' and gets harassed for video taping Sheriff's without their permission but to protect our rights when we are being cooperative. Cause is always will be Public Sector Civil Civilians words against Private Sector Union Law Enforcement Officer words when your alive. But when your dead the Law enforcement lives with their story to go by on. With no Video live cam footage to prove their innocence. When my life or my gf's life is threatened by a neighbor from walking a service dog in a public area. So I don't get shot from heated anger living up here, cause is every one for themselves up here cause neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. My gf calls 911 cause she is panicked like any one else dealing with someone threatening and yelling at them fro 150 yards away. Then I show up to the location where it happened at with no other person outside saying this is my land get off it. Well for my safety and others I investigate to see where this property marker is located at. Pointing in the air blindly at plain dirt is not a property line to me. When we call for help with a matter didn't know till later on when the Report Wasn't Taken that it was a civil matter. The guy yelling at my gf never came outside nor did the Sheriff's talk to the guy only talked with us the callers. I even asked about the doe I found dead with its legs cut straight and antlers gone and said along with this thrown stove at bottom of ravine all they Sheriff's could say is "Is not my Problem!" I realize 911 is for emergencies like head injuries like chest pains I felt months ago, Instead of calling 911 I and waiting 45 mins to an hour, showed up to the fire department in 2 minutes from my house. So this person isn't calling 911 cause it goes straight to the Sheriff's office and I'm judged as soon as my caller ID shows up to their offices. I have only 1 DUI Misdemeanor from 10/2006. So does that make the Sheriff's Officers to treat me like a Criminal upon showing up to the 911 call? Once Hispanic Officer and one white officer shows up in 2 separate cars. The Hispanic Officer Alvarez talked the whole time and controlled the whole situation. The white officer was standing behind him as quiet as a bell. A stick would drop and he wouldn't make a sound or move. All but hands over their firearms. What is the fear upon showing up to a 911 call? When I'm being are cooperative, unarmed honest and respectful. I get treated like a abused dog or an adult speaking when spoken to. The Police in valley 8 years ago when I lived down there before and after the Great Recession of 2008! So don't tell me to go back to the valley! Cause unless your Native American Mi-Wuk then your a flat lander valley person too! We all white folks up here or Europeans living up here are flat landers that came here with disease killed off the Native American Indians and took over the area with military in tow. We all came up here to get away from the hustle and bustle life in the city and towns in California. My family has been up here since the 1970''s cabin built and done up here in 1979. I'm 40 years old moved up back up here to start my life over sober from alcohol and cigarettes. I bet you most of the Sheriff's are born and raised up here they came from valley or other parts of California. I do apologize for saying flat lander in the past is rude to say. I'm mountain man up here like every one else trying to survive in this USA. If your white and living up here then you yourself aren't native of this land. You came up here from your family generations to mine for gold and other minerals form these lands and claim them all up. Kick out the Native Indians from their lands and take them to missions and land owners to slave to their liking. Now today we are all slaves to the Industry and Greedy Folks one upping you. Instead of working together since we all live in once world. Go figure. Peace. So go buy a GO PRO to protect yourself from harm and catch other drivers passing on double yellow lines like they own the roads up here...wait some do from the Gold Rush Days.

If they even think you are filming them, they'll push you out of your car, handcuff you, toss you on your face into the dirt, and call-in about another 1/2 dozen "back-up" cars, usually w/ a supervisor and humiliate you for around an hour in front of your Town & neighbors.

Been there, done that with the CCSO, over a half dozen times.
Brutally against my rights, but they seem not too mind doing it.

I know, right? The sierra sentinel is a much better alternative! Scads of objective reporting and public discourse occurring there.
The owner of this site should just throw in the towel now.

Proclaim September 2016 "Recovery Happens Month" in Calaveras County, with the theme "Join the Voices for Recovery; Our Families, Our Stories, Our Recovery," to celebrate persons in recovery living sober and productive lives. REALLY, this board is promoting sober and productive lives......... how about conspiring to sell dope on the black market in the guise of full filling medical cannabis, what a joke....
