Henry Ford was a despicable human being. Nazi sympathizer, accepted and kept a medal from Hitler, impeded the war effort by obstructing Edsel Ford's efforts to convert Ford's facilities to war material.

Dignity Health should find a better person to quote than Henry Ford. Or else just quote Hitler and leave out the middleman.

The way you sling " Nazi sympathizer" around, you're making it sound like a bad thing.

Yes old Henry had a few foibles especially in his later years. On balance though his contributions to society were immense. Not only did he revolutionise manufacturing he saw the value in paying decent wages to his employees.

Yep, seems like today we bash real achievement and everyone is entitled because of some grievance real or imagined

Ford tried to make the iconic American industrial town in Brazil based on the rubber industry. In 1945 he gave up.
          Nice try.

He also wanted his Model T to run on ethanol .

Ford was a quirky fellow, some ideas like giving his workers a living wage, so that they could buy his cars.

He also hated workers unionizing, killed quite a few trying to stop them.

As with Alexander Graham Bell, American industrialists had a mixed history of success and failures, and sociopathy.

          This is America's story.
