Angels Camp Museum Foundation will Appreciate the Native Sons of the Golden West with a Ribbon Cutting Celebration Sunday, March 6 1 p.m. Officiated by Mayor Wes Kulm

Angels Camp, CA...Sincere thanks to the Native Sons of the Golden West (NSGW) for sponsoring twelve new outdoor interpretive signs at the Angels Camp Museum! The Historical Preservation Foundation of the Native Sons of the Golden West recently presented the museum with a check for $2,335. This generous donation funded twelve signs needed to interpret outdoor artifacts including: Ol’ Beth, Just Jenny, an electric arc furnace and other outdoor mining and farming equipment. Guests finally have an answer to, “I wonder what that is?”

David Allen, Chairman of the Preservation Foundation, and Barney Noel, Treasurer, delivered the check last year. Both David and Barney are Past Grand Presidents of the Native Sons of the Golden West, and Barney Noel is Director of Historical Research for the NSGW. This donation was given in memory of Millard Smallin, a valued and missed member of NSGW.

Thank you Native Sons of the Golden West, for your continued support of our treasured Museum.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will kick-off our Sunday Lecture at 2 p.m. on March 6 - come for the ceremony and stay afterwards for the reception and lecture.

Guest speaker Barney Noel will be speaking on the early history of the Placerville Parlor's involvement in the preservation of California history. He will also talk about the history of the Placerville stagecoach currently on display at the Museum.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Oh, and the awesome signs are already installed... so come by the Museum to check them out!
