What’s Happening In Murphys This Week February 23 Through March 5, 2016
Murphys, CA...Mark Your Calendar - March 19, 2016 - Murphys Irish Day - Each year on the third Saturday in March, Murphys shuts down Main Street and prepares to celebrate like only the Irish can. Join us for a parade at 11 am, stay to eat, taste and shop the Irish Day booths, local tasting rooms and stores of Murphys, buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win our famous trip to Ireland and enjoy day long live music, dancing and Celtic entertainment on our two stages. Event opens at 10 am and you'll want get here early to grab a good spot to watch the parade. Free parking will be available at Ironstone Vineyards with a free shuttle to town from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Paid parking will be available at the corner of Big Trees & Main, weather allowing. Accessible parking will be available behind Alchemy and the Arbors Shopping Center. Main Street will be closed to traffic from 6 am to 6 pm. Start your day with a Pancake breakfast at the First Congregational Church and end it with dinner at one of Murphys great restaurants.
Featured Artist February at Milliaire Tasting Room - The works of Dave Christian will be on display for the month of February.
Tuesdays at Alchemy - Winemakers Night - Every Tuesday is Winemaker's Night at Alchemy, featuring $5 glasses of local wines, free live music on our patio from 5:30-8, our entire regular menu, plus wine paired specials. Fridays and Saturdays at Zucca Tasting Room - "Zucca After Hours" is open 5-8 pm. If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a glass of wine on a Friday or Saturday night, the Zucca garden is your place. We always welcome your picnic items or takeout from area restaurants should you want to make a night of it.
Saturdays in Murphys - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. Please contact Jo Sanders at 209-728-3072 to confirm dates and times or make arrangements for large groups.

March 5, 2016 - Murphys Big Band Night - This is the annual fundraiser for the Murphys Senior Center and Food Pantry. This event helps pay for the local food pantry and community center. The event includes fabulous appetizers, A 14 piece Big Band, free take home portrait, silent auction, dessert and dancing all night. This year the incredible Night Sounds Band from Modesto will be featured. Call 728-1672 with questions.
