WWll Veteran & Much More, Glenwood (Glen) Lorin Jordan 1923 - 2016

White Pines, CA...Glenwood (Glen) Lorin Jordan, 92, of White Pines, California, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on January 13, 2016. He was born May 11, 1923, to parents Andrew F. and Kate (Reister) Jordan of Melones, CA. Glen was a fourth generation resident of Calaveras County. During his teenage years, Glen worked in his father’s butcher shops located in Altaville, Angels Camp, and Arnold. In 1942, he joined the US Army and fought in both France and Germany during WWII as part of the 13th Armored Division. After completion of his honorable service in the military, Glen returned to Calaveras County where he met and married the love of his life, Annabelle James, in 1949. Glen worked for Blagen Lumber Company and then went on to work for the California Department of Forestry, where he was employed until his retirement in 1982.
