Approximately 3,000 onlookers joined together in downtown Angels Camp’s on Main Street for the 25th annual ACBA Holiday Parade held Nov. 28. “We were thrilled with the turnout this year,” exclaimed Candy Myers, ACBA president. “This was our biggest parade yet with more people than ever before. It was really exciting!”

The Angels Camp Business Association is pleased to announce the winners of the parade entry contest, which include the Truelock Family for first place, Bank of Stockton second and CalWaste third for Floats; Sierra Car Club for Vintage Cars; Girl Scouts Sierra Unit Miwok Trails first place and Cub Scouts # 343 second in Schools; Calaveras Saddle Club first place and Kayle Devassi second in Horse Clubs; Firefall Jewelers first place, Murphys Hotel second and Barrel of Monkeyz third place in the Business division; and Sue Berry overall winner in the Individual class.

“We had so many people at the parade for the first time this year,” added Myers. “I think folks are looking for more of the small town Christmas experience for their families. We certainly provided it. Hopefully they will be back next year and bring their friends. With a parade, it’s always ‘the more the merrier.’”
