UPDATE....Mr. Lantry Has Been Located Alive and in Good Condition.....Surrounding Counties Join The Search For Missing Jim Lantry. Citizens Can Help By Checking Their Properties
Arnold, CA...UPDATE AS OF 2PM....Mr. Lantry has been located alive. More details to follow. 2:30pm....He was located in the drainage in the Pinebrook area. Initial reports are he is in relatively good condition. His wife has been notified. On behalf of all of us at ThePineTree.net we would like to thank all of those in the search and rescue of Mr. Lantry. With the cold overnight temps, chances of a positive outcome seemed slim. Everyone is very happy here at the Command Center!! Great job crews! More updates to follow as we receive....
Above Is A File Photo We Have Of Jim Lantry On The Left In Front Of The Sheriff's Substation A Couple Years Ago. Below Is A Photo Sent By The Sheriff's Dept Tonight
Calaveras Sheriff Department is currently conducting a search for a missing Arnold man 83 year old Jim Lantry. He left his residence in Pinebrook area on foot at approximately 4 pm and has not returned. He is 6 foot tall about 165 pounds gray hair brown eyes, last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans. If you have information regarding this subject please contact Calaveras Sheriff at 209-754-6500. We checked in with the search & rescue headquarters at the EPFD Main Station and unfortunately still no sightings of Mr. Lantry. Tuolumne, Amador, Eldorado and others have sent their search teams to help. There was also a helicopter working overhead earlier this morning....
Unfortunately helicopters at this elevation can have limited effectiveness because of the dense tree canopy.
Search Dog teams are also working to locate Mr. Lantry as well.
Citizens are now asked to check their own properties. If you have a large lot please check to make sure Mr. Lantry is not present.
