More Fun Classes Being Offered at Country Cloth Shop in February!

Angels Camp, CA...OPEN SEWING – Tuesdays, February 3rd, February 17th and February 24th (11:00 am to 4:00 pm) $10. No open sewing February 10 because we have our Murder Mystery Quilt Retreat on February 10th and 11th. This day is set aside for you to work on your own projects…no teacher available, but we are all here to help!! PLEASE SIGN UP prior to the day, so we don’t crowd the classroom. $5 extra to use one of our machines....



COME WINE WITH US!! – Tuesday nights, February 3, February 17th and February 24th (5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) $10 – Bring a project to work on…be here before 5 pm and be ready to relax, sew and visit with friends. You will receive a 25% discount on fabric & notions purchased between 5 and 8. Wine & hors d’oeurves will be served so you must be 21 to attend. Please call and reserve your space…we must have at least 4 people to keep this time open.

LEARN TO QUILT – Wednesdays, February 4th, 18th and 25th (11 am to 3 pm) $60 for three sessions - Are you brand new to quilting or need a refresher course? Then, come have fun making a throw while learning how to cut, do a ¼” seam, how to put your blocks on point, create ½ square triangles and a little bit of applique. Bring your questions and make this a “fun throw”. Sally will even teach you how to put the binding on.

CUBIT “Working the West” -- Thursdays, February 5th and February 12th (12 noon to 4 pm) -- $45 for two sessions – Ginger will help you create this 3D quilt designed for all skill levels – this stunning quilt goes together fast and easy!!

FRACTURED FRENZY – Friday, February 6th and Saturday, February 7th (11 am to 4 pm) $45 –Lauri will walk you through the technique of ‘fracturing’ fabric. This technique develops a great new design from your chosen fabric. Large prints with an 18” or 24” repeat work especially well.

MURDER MYSTERY QUILT RETREAT – Tuesday, February 10th and Wednesday, February 11th

EASY PONCHO – Friday, February 13th (11 am to 3 pm) $10 – Kathy will show you how to put together this “quick & easy” poncho out a soft-warm-cuddly fleece, or a stylish poncho with contrasting fabric. A great project for beginners!!!

BLOCK OF THE MONTH – Tuesday, February 17th (11 am to 3 pm)

PAINTING WITH CRAYONS (The Quail) – Thursday, February 19th (11 am to 4 pm) $25 -- Candy will be teaching this intermediate class in painting with Crayola Crayons. This popular class will inspire you to attempt something out of the ordinary and open a new world to different ways of using this technique in quilting, clothing, etc.

EASY 10 Minute TABLERUNNER – Friday, February 20th (2 pm to 5 pm) $10 – Ginger will show you how to make these nifty table runners – one only takes a few minutes.

ORIENTAL JACKET – Thursday, February 26 (11 am to 3 pm) $20 – Back by popular demand, this charming and easy jacket will be demonstrated by Ginger

SERGER TECHNIQUES – Friday, February 27 (12 noon to 4 pm) $25 (or free to Bernina members) – Ginger will show you how to use many different patterns on your serger and are “sew” fast. This month will be a ladder-stitch vest.

SEWING TECHNIQUES – Saturday, February 28 (1 pm to 4 pm) $25 (or free to Bernina members) – Ginger will show you how to use those special needles to make unique stitches………if your machine will Zig-Zag, your machine is capable of sewing with many specialty needles such as double needles, triple needles, wing needles and double-wing needles. Come spend an afternoon learning how to use these needles and make samples to keep to review later.
