CRAZY EI8HTS Trail Run Series finishes with more distance: A half marathon has been added to final race

Lake Camanche, South Shore, Ca – The third annual CRAZY EI8HTS Trail Run Series concludes with the third and final race on Sunday, August 24 at Lake Camanche, South Shore, meeting up at the Turkey Hill Trail Head, located on Lake Camanche Road. The CRAZY EI8HTS’s trail runs were created so anyone of any ability could participate. That’s not to say there won’t be challenging terrain. The past two trail runs offered runners a choice of either 8K or 8-Mile distances. For the upcoming final event, participants can still choose trail-run distances between the two “8s,” or a half marathon. Map of all three courses. The trails are hilly, scenic, and hard-packed. Registration includes custom T-shirt, customized CRAZY EI8HTS Barking Frog performance headwear, BBQ, and beer garden post event (for those 21-years and older, only). Awards will be given to 1st place in each age group in 10-year brackets and overall men and women’s winners receive a special Pearl Izumi prize pack....

Fees: $40 for each race, or sign up for all three runs and pay only $35 each. The Half Marathon registration is $60, or $55 if runners do the previous two events. Race-day registration, add $5.

Parking fee: Pssssst… it’s $2.50 if you ask for a trail pass, or it will $6.00 if you don’t.

Directions to Camanche S. Shore: Drive Highway 12 east to Camanche Parkway / South Shore entrance, enter kiosk and Turkey Hill Trail Head staging area is on your right hand side, 30 yards past kiosk. Race-day check-in and registration begins at 7:00 a.m., with the start of all three races following at 8:30 a.m.

To register for the CRAZY EI8HTS Trail Series, participants can download a flyer and mail in with entry fee, or register online at Active.com. For more information call 795-7832 or visit http://www.fleetfeetstockton.com or http://www.onyourmarkevents.com.
