Bear Valley Co-op Closes In On Goal!! Join Today And Help Them Cross The Finish Line!!
Bear Valley, CA...Enclosed is the latest update from the Bear Valley Cooperative. They are now close to 70% of the way to their goals and have an agreement in place for a new management team to run the resort for the 2014/15 season. Time to get on board and help them cross the finish line!!!

Progress Update
We are closing in on 70% of the memberships needed to purchase the mountain! Great progress was made over the past week with increasing visits to our web site, questions about becoming a member, and several asking how they can help. As we get closer to completing the process, we have identified key deadlines for the cooperative effort.
- JULY 15th DEADLINE TO JOIN! If you intend to vote to ratify the purchase AND have your membership count toward the purchase, this is the last date you need to join.
- JULY 25th DEADLINE TO PAY! In order to make this happen we need all memberships paid so that we have the actual funds in the secure account. If you have not paid up yet, please do so and if you will join soon, be sure to pay the email invoice promptly.
- AUGUST 1st DEADLINE TO PURCHASE! This is the date that we have committed to take over operations of the mountain and start summer maintenance. If there are any delays beyond this date, we will loose opportunities to make an impact in time for the coming Winter season.

Events
This Saturday (tomorrow) we have key events happening in Bear Valley and Blue Lake Springs. Please come by to hear about progress and meet the co-op team.
- Co-op Town Hall, 7/5/14, 9:30 to 10:30 am at Bear Valley Village, Skyhigh Pizza & Pub - We will host a town hall style meeting to present an update, overview of the business plan, and answer questions about our progress on the purchase of the mountain and village. Stay longer to ask questions or discuss details with co-op board members. The meeting will be broadcasted live over Livestream at www.livestream.com/bvmcoop and will be recorded for future viewing for those that can’t participate live.
- Blue Lake Springs Snowflake Lodge pool area, 7/5/15 from 12:30 to 4:00 - BVMC representatives will be available to inform BLS homeowners about the cooperative effort and hand out information. Come by and say hello!
- BVRI Annual Picnic, 7/5/14 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Bear Lake Beach – This annual event is a community fundraiser and a great way to meet your Bear Valley neighbors. Buy a ticket and have some fun at the beach. The co-op will present a short progress update and people will be there to answer your questions. Thank you BVRI!
Announcement: Mountain Management Partnership
The Bear Valley Mountain Cooperative is happy to announce that the management team from Mountain High/Stevens Pass resorts will team up with the BVMC to run operations at Bear Valley starting with the 2014/15 winter season. The Mountain High team, lead by CEO and industry veteran Karl Kapuscinski, has been assisting the co-op during the due diligence period as well as the development of our financial and business plan. Assuming that the purchase proceeds forward, an agreement will be finalized where the Mountain High team will appoint an experienced GM form their team and leverage their extensive resources to make this plan come to life.
