Rivals Bret Harte and Calaveras High Girls Soccer Split the Night

Calaveras County, CA ... Bret Harte & Calaveras Highs Schools Varsity Girls Soccer teams had a healthy defensive battle Tuesday night resulting in a 0-0 final score. Bret Harte started building momentum with just 10 minutes left in the first half and nearly scored but the referee called play on. Both teams came out strong in the second half. BH Offense combined for 8 shots on frame, while Calaveras put 6 shots on frame all saved by Goalkeeper Jessica Stohlman. Sam Crabtree and Sarah Wilson were strong contributors to Bret Harte's effort. No cards were issued to either team.



The Calaveras Girls JV soccer team had a strong offensive attack and scored twice to go ahead 2-0. With just a few minutes left in the game. Bret Harte defender Quin Mayes-Smith headed up to offensive end of the field and scored her first goal of the season to bring the game to 2-1. BH Goalkeeper Selena Saldana, a freshman, had five saves on the night. No cards were issued.
