There will be afternoon sessions July 15, 16 & 17 and another session August 5, 6 & 7 from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The mid-week classes are for for girls and boys ages 8 to 18. The classes will be held at Country Cloth, 330 North Main Street Angels Camp, CA.The class fee is $275 which includes all supplies and the new sewing machine the student has been using and will take home. The classes are limited to four students per session.

The goal is for students to go home with a machine they understand and can use. This is a a basic sewing class as well as doing projects to teach the machine techniques. Class projects are: a tote bag for class supplies, a small zipper bag, a small bag with a buttonhole & how to sew on a button with the machine. The students will make a pair of shorts or a skirt. Included in the class fee is a new Bernette sewing machine valued at $249.00, all sewing supplies including scissors, pins, marking pencil, seam gage, seam ripper and all materials for class projects including fabric, buttons, threads, and zippers. Additional classes will be scheduled if needed.

What a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn a skill and receive a sewing machine. Dating myself, I remember Home Economics class in high school where we learned cooking and sewing. I still remember my excitement when I completed my "Marsha Brady" smock top!
