Mrs. Ziehlke worked for many years as a bank teller, first for Central Sierra Bank and most recently Rabobank. She was involved in various community activities, such as a partnership with the Calaveras Cancer Support Group wherein she and her husband organized an annual softball game fundraiser. The event has resulted in thousands of dollars supporting families of cancer patients who deal with mounting financial needs. A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, March 15, in the multipurpose room at Bret Harte High School. A reception will follow at the Angels Gun Club, beginning at 1 p.m.
The family asks that long stem flowers be brought in lieu of individual gifts of flowers or bouquets. The family would like to create special bouquets from these gifts. Blooms and Things has prepared their inventory. An account has been set up at RaboBank for Breanna and Michaels continuing educations for anyone who would like to donate. The family also ask that anyone who wishes to prepare food consider gifts cards to local grocery stores or restaurants, or possibly make arrangements at a later time for food delivery. Everything that has already been done is greatly appreciated, the family wishes to say thanks to all the support they have received in this time of sorrow.
