Mark your calendar now for Irish Day in Murphys, March 15 - Each year on the third Saturday in March, Murphys shuts down Main Street and prepares to celebrate like only the Irish can. Join us for a parade at 11 am, stay to eat, taste and shop the Irish Day booth, local tasting rooms and stores of Murphys, buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win our famous trip to Ireland, enjoy music, dancing and Celtic entertainment on our two stages and wrap the day up with dinner at one of our restaurants. 10 am to 5 pm - get here early to grab a good spot to watch the parade. Main Street will be closed to traffic from 6 am to 6 pm. You can purchase raffle tickets now at many locations in town...just look for the raffle poster.
Registration information for Mr Frogs Wild Ride is now available at http://www.mrfrogswildride.org/. The price includes snacks at various rest stops, SAG support and the after-ride barbecue. A free massage will be available. Beginning April 5, registration increases $5. Club discounts are available on request for six or more registrations at the same time. It Pays to Shop (and Taste) Local - The Ironstone Heritage Museum, Marisolio Tasting Bar and Creative Cookware each offer discounts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays while, on Wednesdays, Tea an' Tiques offers Calaveras residents & seniors a discount on the purchase of any box or tin of TEA.. Twisted Oak offers complimentary wine tastings on Tuesdays. Restrictions apply but make sure to let them know you're a local when you're out supporting our local businesses.
February Artist Showing at Hovey Tasting Room - The watercolor paintings of Deborah Marlene will be showcased the month of February at Hovey Winery Tasting Room, 350 A Main St., Murphys. The tasting room is open daily from noon to 5:30 p.m.

February 20, 2014 - Please join us for a pint at Alchemy Restaurant and Wine Bar - We'll feature the "3 Jacks" from Firestone Walker Brewing Company: Union Jack IPA, Double Jack IPA, and Wookey Jack Black IPA. A very knowledgeable representative from Firestone will be here. Free logo pint glass with the purchase of your first pint of any of these three beers. Like most IPA's these pair well with spicy food, such as our Calamari, Nachos, and Sweet Potato Fries. In addition, Chef Jason will prepare a VERY spicy special, if you are so inclined. The kegs will be tapped at 4:00 and served until approximately 8:00.
February 25, 2014, Bites of Britain Cooking Class, 10:00 AM or 6:00 PM. Join us for an interactive class that spans different regions of the UK over the course of an English tea.
