Dignity Health, Mark Twain Medical Center, supports The Arc of Amador and Calaveras

Amador & Calaveras, CA...Dignity Health, Mark Twain Medical Center grants The Arc of Amador and Calaveras funding to support Community Access Programs. "Human Kindness" Dignity Health, Mark Twain Medical Center in Calaveras County has selected The Arc of Amador and Calaveras as one of their grant recipients. The funding will support continued Community Access Programs while tracking outcome measurements supporting people served in Amador and Calaveras County...

The Community Access Program will emphasize the efforts to bring together resources and opportunities for people served in Amador and Calaveras Counties. Through the grant funding and opportunity from Dignity Health, Mark Twain Medical Center, The Arc of Amador and Calaveras will be able to enhance daily community access through a broad range of programs for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in five essential areas (Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Wellness; Arts; and Fitness & Recreation) and several specialized initiatives.

Today more than 200 people served, through The Arc, are taking advantage of the programs, activities, and have access to a world-class experience that assures their personal success is within reach and all accessible through their community. “This couldn’t be accomplished without such a committed team of Arc employees and committed philanthropic agencies, such as Dignity Health, Mark Twain. It really is about ‘Human Kindnesses.”
