Lauri Ann Thacker Found Deceased After Being Reported Missing
Sonora, CA...On 2/8/14 about 7:30 P.M. the Reporting Party called the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office to report her relative, fifty six year old, Lauri Ann Thacker, missing from the Reporting Party’s residence in Willow Springs. Thacker was a dependent adult, who had vision issues and was being cared for by various family members. Thacker voluntarily walked away from the residence without the Reporting Party’s knowledge...
Several on duty Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies started an initial search for Thacker. After Thacker could not be located Tuolumne County Search and Rescue was notified and they began a Search of the area. The Search was conducted until approximately 2:00 A.M. on 2/9/14, the search was then suspended until daylight hours. Search and Rescue was initiating another search operation for Thacker about 7:30 A.M. when a resident of the 20000 block of Caylor Drive saw what appeared to be a body down an embankment in heavy vegetation.
Sheriff’s Personnel responded to the scene and confirmed that the body located was deceased. The deceased person was positively identified as Lauri Ann Thacker. Cause of death is pending upon completion of an autopsy and toxicology tests.
