Biggest Loser Contest Providing Motivation for Medical Center Employees
Sonora, CA...Sonora Regional Medical Center is encouraging its employees to lose unwanted pounds in a Biggest Loser contest. Contestants have approximately three months to eat well and exercise to lose weight. The Medical Center is providing support to the contestants with nutritional therapy and biometric workshops to help them stay on track with their weight loss goals. Discounted exercise classes are also available through the Medical Center’s Live Well Be Well Center....
“Overweight and obesity has been identified as one of our community’s greatest health concerns,” explains Amy Rolston, Live Well Be Well Center Coordinator. “By building enthusiasm about healthy weight loss among our employees, we are providing a good example and helping to improve the health and wellness of our entire community.”
The winners of the Biggest Loser contest will be announced during the week of April 14. Individual female and male winners will receive $300 cash and the Medical Center department with the highest average individual weight lost will receive massages for all participants in that department.
