Attempted Murder Charges for Tuolumne County Man

Sierra Village, CA....On 1/4/114 about 9:40 P.M. Law Enforcement and Fire Medical Personnel were dispatched to the Sierra Village Mobile Park in Sierra Village on a report of a person with a head injury. Upon arrival found the forty six year old victim suffering from a laceration to the rear of his head, bruising to his shoulder area, a cut on his elbow and he was complaining of pain to his upper body and neck....

The Deputies on scene initiated an investigation and interviewed the victim. The victim stated he was asleep in his motor home. He heard the front door to the motor home open and saw the suspect Lindon Hill entering the motor home. Hill was carrying a “pipe” and attacked the victim who was still lying down. The victim was struck numerous times in the head and upper body area, which caused his injuries. The victim was able to get to his feet and Hill fled the motor home. The victim contacted the manager of the mobile home park, who called 911 for assistance.

The victim and Hill were known to the each other and had recently had a dispute over a broken window.

The victim was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center for initial treatment for his injuries. He was then transferred to an out of county trauma center for additional treatment due to the severity of his injuries.

Deputies located Hill in the mobile home park. A search of his residence was completed an expandable police type baton was found in his residence. Based on the Deputies investigation Hill was arrested for attempted murder. He was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked on the attempted murder and weapons charges. Bail was set at 500,000 dollars (five hundred thousand dollars). As of 1/5/13 Hill was still in custody at the Tuolumne County Jail.
