Jennifer R. Hatten 1954 - 2013
Mokelumne Hill, CA...Jennifer R. Hatten, 59 passed away November 28, 2013 at home in Mokelumne Hill of a chronic illness. She was born August 26, 1954 in Alameda. Her parents were Raynold Riel and Jean (Edler) Riel. Jennifer attended Acalanes and Castro Valley High Schools, where she graduated in the top of her class. Her excellence in academia continued; she earned her B.A. in Art History, Sociology, and Recreation at CSU-Hayward and the University of Toronto. She was married to James Hatten for nearly 32 years. She left a promising career at MGM Studios to become a stay at home wife and mother. She was a member of MENSA and during her children’s formative years, she acted as the Class Mom and Brownie Troop Leader as well as other leadership roles; former Historian at Mokelumne Hill Library and Bible Study leader....

Hobbies and other activities She had many endeavors. Jennifer was a talented artist in a plethora of Mediums. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and crafting. She epitomized integrity, loyalty and joyfulness. Jennifer was forever encouraging others and always had a smile on her face. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and always put the Lord Jesus above all.
Survivors Husband: James Hatten Daughters: Jamie (Kevin) Keil; Jessica (Caleb) Ribeiro Granddaughter: Olivia Grace Keil Mother: Jean Riel Brother: Randy Riel Sister: Karen (Dan) Oliver, and many beloved friends and family members.
Family and friends previously deceased: Preceded in death by her: sister-Stephanie Riel, father-Ray Riel and step-daughter-Teresa Hatten
Day, date, time and locations of services: A Celebration of Life and reception will be held Saturday, January 11th, 2014 at 2 pm at the Sutter Creek Church of the Nazarene, located at 14050 Ridge Rd. Sutter Creek, Ca. 95685, 209-267-1307
