A Chill In The Air But Warm Hearts and Communty For Murphys Open House
Murphys, CA....On Friday evening Murphys held their annual open house and Christmas Parade. It was a festive and merry night for all ages. The cold temps prevented a few floats from making an appearance but there were still plenty of entrants including several Santa's (I really wish I could multi-task as well as St. Nick.). The Murphys Business Association organized another great event with the streets closed and outdoor fireplaces all along Main Street and several thousand people out and about raised the holiday cheer level. Most of the businesses were open and had specials and events offered for their visitors...

There were several musical groups and holiday music and caroling filled the air as well.
Jenny Baxter organized and MC'ed the parade. Many of the entrants were local businesses and groups. Ironstone, Murphys Hotel, Next, Alchemy the Boy Scouts, Murphys Community Club, Church groups and more made up the procession.
