From the beginner runs, easily visible from the lodge, to Grizz, backside and mile-long trails to the village, Bear Valley Mountain has terrain to suit any level. Beginners to Advanced Bear Valley is the ideal mountain whether it’s your first experience to the snow or you’re a die hard powder hound.

For beginners Bear Valley offers all-inclusive packages at a discounted price to encourage snow sports participation. Our Beginner Package includes a beginner’s lift ticket (valid on Cub, Super Cub and the Panda Carpet), a 1.5 hour group lesson and all-day equipment rental. For intermediate skiers and riders, enjoy acres of trails on the front and backside of the mountain. Advanced snow sports enthusiasts will always find a secret stash to enjoy in the infamous Grizzly Bowl or join one of our snowcat tours that will take you out to untracked powder in the sidecountry.

Terrain Parks

Terrain Parks Bear Valley Mountain’s parks are built for all ages. Our park crew is continually working the park to bring fresh combinations of boxes, rails, jumps and original features that can only be found at Bear Valley. Last season we launched Kodiak Park on the backside. This season we are adding a brand new 40-foot feature that you don’t want to miss. Not ready for Kodiak Park, then check out the Progression Park in Cub Meadow where you can hone in your skills. Sign up for eClub to find out when we hold our next Progression Session, then meet up with our instructors for free tips and tricks. Whether on two boards or one; first timer or advanced rider, the parks are a great place to play.
