Mark Twain Health Care District (MTHCD) and Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation To Sponsor Second Annual “Golden Health Awards"
San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Health Care District (MTHCD) and Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation will host the second annual “Golden Health Awards" at Ironstone Vineyards on February 1, 2014. The Golden Health Award was established in 2013 to recognize and award selected health care organizations and individuals who have made a positive impact to the health and wellness of the Calaveras County community. Health care professionals selected for nomination are chosen from Community Health Based 501 (c)(3 Organizations, Public Health Programs, and Behavioral Health Programs that operate in Calaveras County. Agencies or Organizations that operate in multiple counties are eligible for nomination, however funds received as an award or grant must be used in Calaveras County to promote the health and wellness of the community...
To nominate a Health Organization in Calaveras County for the "Golden Health Award, please go to: http://marktwainhealthdistrict.org/meetings/announcements and click Nominate A Health Organization. Submissions for Nominees must be received by 11:59 PM January 3, 2014 to be considered. Winners will be announced on January 9, 2014.
Five nominees will be selected to receive awards totaling $10,000. Each nominee will receive a $2000,00 grant, with one of the five nominees chosen to receive an additional $3000,00 award as the Golden Health Award Winner.
MCHCD will also present a Health Care Delivery Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award. The Health Care Delivery Award will recognize an individual who has been selected for providing outstanding delivery of Health Care services in Calaveras County. The winner of this category will be announced on early January 9, 2014. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Doris Barger, Founding President of the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation in recognition of her dedication and the tremendous impact her contributions have made to the continued health and wellness of the Calaveras County community.
