Festival of Lights Benefiting Hospice of Sierra is Tomorrow Night

Sonora, CA...Sonora Regional Medical Center’s 3rd Annual Festival of Lights will be held on Tuesday, December 3 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in front of the hospital, at the entrance to the attached Professional Center and Community Pharmacy at 900 Greenley Road. It is a benefit for Hospice of the Sierra...

The northeast corner of the Medical Center at Greenley and Delnero Streets will once again be decorated with holiday lights and decorations. “We encourage the public to join with us as we kick off the holiday season with this special event that focuses on loved ones who helped to create our personal Christmas memories, while paying tribute to those who inspire us today. This includes Hospice and the valuable service that they provide.”

The Festival of Lights serves as a way for friends and families to honor and remember loved ones. Lights can be purchased in honor or in memory of special people in our lives, many of whom may have passed away. The Festival is also a way to recognize the life-saving work that our physicians and healthcare professionals provide. All honorees will be recognized in the event program and on the Honor Roll that will be displayed at the hospital for the remainder of the month of December.

Mountain Melody, Woman’s Chorus of Calaveras County will provide entertainment. Spiced apple cider donated by Cover’s Apple Ranch, and fresh baked cookies will be served. All are invited to attend this festive holiday event.

Funds raised from the sale of the lights will assist patients and families needing hospice care who cannot afford it. If you are interested in buying a light in memory or in honor of someone, please contact the Foundation at 536-5029.
