Stuff the Bus and Pack The Patrol Car Start Today At Sierra Hills and Big Trees Markets

San Andreas, CA – The California Highway Patrol – San Andreas Area has teamed up once again with The Resource Connection of Calaveras County (Santa’s Express and Food Bank), and Calaveras Transit for the 16th annual CHiPs for KIDS Toy Drive. Starting this Saturday, November 9th, Officers will be standing by to collect your new, unwrapped toys to the following Stuff the Bus, Pack the Patrol Car events. All toys and collected food items will stay in Calaveras County for the holiday season...




November 9, 2013: Treats (San Andreas) / Angels Food Market (Angels Camp) 10-2
November 16, 2013: Sierra Market (Murphys) / Big Trees Market (Arnold) 10-3
November 23, 2013: Savemart (Angels Camp) / Marval (Valley Springs) 10-4
December 7, 2013: Sierra Market (Murphys) / Big Trees Market (Arnold) 10-3
December 14, 2013: Savemart (Angels Camp) / Marval (Valley Springs) 10-4

The Calaveras County Transit and The Resource Connection (Food Bank) will also be in attendance for the Stuff the Bus campaign. They will be taking donations of Turkeys, Hams, and any non-perishable food items in order to feed Calaveras County families in need this holiday season.

“We are planning on serving 1300 families living in Calaveras County a holiday meal. For parents who cannot afford gifts for children at Christmas, Santa’s Express also provides children with a new toy, and youth a new coat or jacket,” stated Jeannie Hayward, Program Director for the Food Bank and Santa’s Express.

CHiPs for Kids collection barrels will soon be placed around the county at various locations or if you can’t make it out to one of our Pack the Patrol Car events, you can donate at the San Andreas CHP Office. Toys will be collected until Monday, December 16, 2013.
