MTMC Community Blood Drive
San Andreas, CA...BloodSource will host the Mark Twain Medical Center community blood drive to meet the community’s need for blood and blood products. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments are available. When you participate at the blood drive earn MyBloodSource rewards. Redeem your rewards online for great items! Thanks to the generosity of local donors when you receive care at a Sacramento-area hospital, such as Kaiser Permanente, UC Davis Medical Center, Sutter or Mercy hospitals, the blood you receive comes from BloodSource blood donors. BloodSource provides blood to Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton.
About Blood Donation:
Donating blood is safe, easy and takes about an hour. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old (16 with a signed BloodSource Parental consent form) and be generally healthy. There is no upper age limit for blood donations. Donors must bring a photo ID and should drink plenty of fluids before donating. Potential marrow donors can register for Be the Match through BloodSource. Find more information at www.bloodsource.org
