Share The Lane Fore Amy Lane Memorial Run

Sonora, CA...On October 26, 2012 a tragedy occurred in our community when a twenty-seven year old young woman was struck and killed while running in the early hours of the morning. Amy Lynn Wayne is survived by her husband, Travis, and daughter Adalee....

Amy had a dream and a vision that Adalee would attend college. Amy valued education and knew its importance for future success. Before her death she had already begun to instill that in Adalee. Those close to Amy are keeping that alive by setting up a trust fund for Adalee to use for college tuition and books. The major fundraiser for this trust will be an annual 10K running event titled, Share the Lane for Amy Wayne.

This 10K will also raise awareness for safety with all users of the roadway – runners, walkers, pedestrians, bikers, and drivers. This focus is important to the friends and family of Amy Wayne as she was killed while trying to share the road with vehicles. The traffic lanes in our community are just not conducive for athletes and everyone must be aware that

they are being used by a variety of active community members.

Event occurs on 10/27/2013 from 07:00 AM to .
