Sheriff Looking for Subject and Vehicle Involved in a Possible Attempted Kidnapping of Female Child.

Valley Springs, CA...On 9-11-13 at about 1645 hours a female juvenile teenager reported that an unknown male subject attempted to get her to go with him in his vehicle and offered her marijuana while at the Veterans Field playground in Valley Springs. When she refused, he came close to her, coming close enough that she pulled away and then fled the area. He then left in a vehicle yelling at her as he left....

The subject was described as a white male adult, approximately 6’0, husky build with longer hair in the front and shorter in the back. His hair was reportedly dark in the front and faded to light towards the back as well. He was wearing a faded grey t-shirt and blue jeans that had a hole in the left thigh area just above the knee. The vehicle was described as an older model burgundy four door with a lot of scratches on it. The victim stated that the vehicle had Oregon state license plates on it. If you have additional information or witness any vehicles or subjects matching that description, please contact the sheriff’s department immediately at 209-754-6500.
