Smokey Bear Has Been Killed in Hathaway Pines ~By Mike Preston

Hathaway Pines, CA...This large Black bear was killed in Hathaway Pines recently by a car. This is why people should not feed the animals . It is also against the law. Especially people who live on or near the hi-way because the animals cross the road to get the free chow. It is also is a grave traffic hazard . A Black Bear is nocturnal creature and given his color he is almost impossible so see at 60mph at night . Best case scenario is the car gets wrecked and no one gets hurt . The bear dies, maybe not then but he is injured and takes days to die. Worse case is the alarmed city driver who has probably never has seen a bear in the wild let alone at 60 mph will swerve to avoid the animal and possibly go head on into a oncoming car or hit a tree and kill somebody....

The forest creatures have survived for millions of years without people feeding them . All people do when they feed the animals is put them in harms way to make themselves feel good . Please stop this stupid and ILLEGAL practice you are killing our wild life so you can feel good about your self.
