Calaveras Democrats Host Senator Alex Padilla

Senator Padilla is visiting all 58 California counties to meet with voters to talk about how, as Secretary of State, he plans to expand voter participation, increase transparency through technology where appropriate, and reach out to local election officials to better serve every county in the state. He is also committed to focusing on the business responsibilities of the Secretary of State’s Office by working to eliminate the backlog and helping new businesses open sooner, which creates jobs.
“We are very pleased Senator Padilla will be visiting. Statewide candidates don’t often come to Calaveras. We are looking forward to showing him that Calaveras Democrats care about participating in the election process,” said Sharon Romano, chair of the Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee.
