Patricia Ann Sainz 1935-2013
Hathaway Pines, CA...Long time Hathaway Pines resident (38 yrs.), Pat Sainz, made her transition to the spirit world on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Born on Oct. 27, 1935, she was 77. Mrs. Sainz was born in Lee Vining, CA, the oldest of five children, to Mack and Glen Seymour. Her youth was spent in the Los Angeles area. Her family returned to Lee Vining in 1947 where she completed her schooling....
She married Jerry D. Sainz on June 23, 1956 in Reno, NV. They began their family of three sons and moved about in the state of CA for her husband’s advancement in his career at CalTrans. She was a great Mom and homemaker. She loved her crafts and created many beautiful items for home, family and friends.
Prior to her husband’s retirement, they started travelling with an RV club. She thoroughly enjoyed the friendship and their excursions, including annual hunting trips to Wyoming and Utah. Mrs. Sainz and her husband spent seven summer seasons in Alaska as Camp Hosts for the U.S. Forestry. All those who met her, became instant friends. She always had a warm smile, friendly hug and helping hand.
Mrs. Sainz was preceded in death by her mother, Glen (1972), father, Mack (1984) and sister, Donna McCorry (2006). She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry D. Sainz of Hathaway Pines; children, Robert D. Sainz, of Hathaway Pines, Wm. Mitchell (Lisa) Sainz of Des Moines, Iowa and James P. (Kathy) Sainz of Angels Camp; grandchildren, Zachary (Jackie) Sainz of Des Moines, Iowa and Joseph A. Sainz of Hathaway Pines; great grandchildren Coby and Jack Sainz of Des Moines, Iowa; her siblings, Marsha (Alan) Blaver of Costa Mesa, CA, Wm. Mack Jr. (Linda) Seymour of Hawthorne, NV and Mary (Bill) Anderson of Bishop, CA and many nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, newphews and cousins.
Mrs. Sainz will be buried in the Mono Lake Cemetery in Lee Vining, CA.
