Books and More in Angels Camp, 30 year old family owned business, will be closing after its annual July 4th party
Angels Camp, CA...My name is Emily Graham, I am co-owner with my husband Shawn Graham of Books and More in Angels Camp. We took over the bookstore 3 years ago to allow my husband's parents, Geri and Glenn, to retire. We had hoped that we would be able to carry on the business, which has been a staple of the community...
However, the mild winter and the early summer which have brought an increase to other businesses in our area have been devastating to ours. That, coupled with the loss of residents in Angels Camp, competition from Red box, Netflix, Amazon and E-books are decreased our sales dramatically.
So it was with heavy hearts and very wet eyes that we came to the painful decision that the community simply cannot support the bookstore's current model.
Effective June 2, we will be CLOSED Sundays, so we can prepare our warehouse.
We will be selling all of our movie inventory, and no longer renting movies out, effective May 28th. All recently released titles will sell for $10.00. All other titles and television series will sell for $5.00.
All toys, puzzles, and educational tools will be 75% off while supplies last.
All gold panning is 50% off.
All new books are 50% off.
All used books will be an additional 50% off already reduced prices.
We WILL continue to maintain an online store, at www.booksnmore.com, where customers can still use their book credit and can have books delivered by mail, or in person, depending on their location. The online store will be operational by July 4th.
We wish to thank our loyal customers, most of whom we regard as extended family. This has truly been a difficult decision.
Please remember us, visit us in the next month, and celebrate the 30 year legacy of Books and More with us on July 4th, 2013. Proceeds from sales that day will go directly to our daughter's favorite organization and worthy cause, the Rehorse Rescue Ranch.
Thank you.
