Murphys, CA...Save the Date - May 4, 2013 - Sierra Foothills Artisan Cheese and Wine Festival - Hosted by Lavender Ridge Vineyard from 12pm - 4pm. Sample award winning artisan cheese from regional cheese producers along with wines and wine pairings. Take a guided tour of the winery and caves and meet the winemaker Rich Gilpin. Numerous additional workshops will be offered throughout the day and the event includes an artisan marketplace. It Pays to Shop Local - The Ironstone Heritage Museum, Marisolio Tasting Bar and Creative Cookware each offer discounts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays while, on Wednesdays, Tea an' Tiques offers Calaveras residents & seniors as young as 65 a 10% discount on the purchase of any box or tin of TEA.. April Fiber Artist Showing at Milliaire Tasting Room - Milliaire Winery invites you to stop in the tasting room at 276 Main Street to see the creative designs of local Murphys fiber artist Elizabeth Scharb and her line 27 Blossoms. We hope that you will visit the tasting room, sample some award winning wines and take a few moments to appreciate Elizabeth’s artistry.

April 5, 2013 - “The Autism Chronicles” – Black Bart Playhouse at 7 pm - “The Autism Chronicles,” endeavors to provide insight into what dealing with autism is like. Written by Mark Wilson, directed by Terri Wilson, the hour-long play uses the actual words of the people portrayed to tell its stories. It has poignancy laced with humor. April 13, 2013 - Gift 4 A Cause Concert - Join them at 7 pm at the Black Bart Playhouse to enjoy the music of Cantamos and the Tour Guides and support a great cause. Proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Tickets available at SNAC and Sustenance Books in Murphys. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
April 13, 2013 - Sierra Film Festival at Newsome Harlow - Newsome-Harlow Winery in Murphys, will once again host our second Festival showing - DOORS OPEN at 6:45pm - The main feature, Bidder 70, won the people's choice award at the Nevada City Film Festival. April 13 and 14, 2013 - Pre-Tax-Day Celebration at Thorpe Plaza & Marisolio - Come and join the businesses that are located around Thorpe Plaza for a weekend of fun events and activities. Along with Marisolio (celebrating our third birthday), Atman Metal Arts, Art on Main, Inner Balance Sports Chiropractic, Sanctuary Spa, and Back Country Pictures will all offer activities for the entire family.
