What’s Happening in Murphys this Week!

Murphys, CA...This Summer at Black Sheep Winery - The Black Sheep Winery Tasting Room will be featuring the artwork of local photographer Bernadette Callen throughout the summer. All the photographs in the exhibit are of the Eastern slope of the Sierra and the coastline above San Francisco. Come in and view Bernadette's photographs of the spectacular beauty of California's Sierras and North Coast, and enjoy some of Black Sheep's award winning wines such as the Double Gold and Best of Class .....

July 6, 2012 - First Fridays in the Park at Murphys Community Park - Featuring the The Tour Guides starting at 5:30 p.m. From 5 pm, a barbequed Italian sausage dinner by Lila & Sage will be available for purchase at $8.00 per person and a Hatcher Wines will be on sale along with other beverages. Friends and neighbors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a small town America happening in the cool confines of Murphys Community Park. There is no admission charge and ample free parking is available.

July 6, 2012 - Live Music at Twisted Oak Winery in Vallecito - The Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum with the Bee Eaters provide the music for the "Folk at the Oak" Summer Concert Series. Enjoy family-friendly evenings of acoustic, folk, bluegrass, and Americana music, award winning wines and great place to spread out your blanket with the iconic Twisted Oak Tree serving as the centerpiece. July 13, 2012 - A Fiery Friday the 13th at the Spice Tin- Stop by and help solve "The Case of the Biting Spice" - Kick off your weekend at the Spice Tin on Friday, July 13th, at 2:30PM to hear local mystery author and make-believe Private Eye Steven Gomez read from his new book Taco Noir. The case begins with a screening of selected mystery shorts, followed by author reading, as well as samples of the chili recipe from the story. Both spice packets and signed copies of the book will be available for purchase.
