Calaveras Humane Society Bids Farewell to President Seiler
San Andreas, Calif. – After serving his promised, one-year term as president of the Calaveras Humane Society, Bob Seiler is moving on and moving away. The 21-year Arnold resident recently sold his home as part of his family’s long-term, personal goals and will be moving to Placer County, Calif. “Our long range plan has been to downsize and move to a less remote area, now that we are retired and empty nesters,” said Seiler. “We decided to put our home on the market, thinking that it would take at least the summer to sell. We were shocked that it sold in just about a week and that we’ll be moving in early July.”...

The CHS announced Karen Elliott, the organization’s vice president of operations, will act as interim president while the organization works to fill the position.
“We have accomplished so much in the past year,” said Seiler. Some of the CHS accomplishments under Seiler’s leadership include: the organization’s move to a larger office space in San Andreas; the opening of the Licks and Purrs Thrift Store; the purchase of a new truck; the complete renovation of the CHS Web; the creation of a Facebook page; the launch of new logo merchandise; and the construction of new, dog-walking trail at the County Animal Shelter, to name a few.
The Calaveras Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life for animals throughout Calaveras County. Established in 1978, the CHS provides spay/neuter assistance to pet owners and foster care to homeless animals waiting to be adopted.
