Local Technology Stars Came Together and Shared Their Wisdom at MIST Summit
Sonora, CA....The Motherlode Innovation Summit on Technology also known as the MIST Conference Liked, Tweeted and Posted is way onto the Columbia College Campus on June 6th. The MIST Conference is an annual regional social media event. This year's MIST Con built on the success of last year’s 140 Characters Conference – Central Sierra. The event brought together a diverse group of technology and marketing experts that shared their ideas about the best uses of technology and the real time Internet...

The event was split into two parts with the morning sessions being short and fast paced presentations to generate ideas In the afternoon breakout, hands-on sessions led by technology experts gave attendees quick immersion into different subjects and skill sets.

Melissa Colon
Distance Education Coordinator, Coordinator for the Instructional Technology Center, Columbia College
Melissa Colon has been an instructor at the college for the past 11 years. She is currently the Distance Education Coordinator and Coordinator for the Instructional Technology Center. Melissa trains faculty to develop online courses and content. She also provides instructional technology training for faculty, staff and students.
Jana Connell
Multimedia Technician, Columbia College
Jana graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s in Interactive Multimedia and Web Design and has been working with Multimedia and Social Media instructing faculty, staff and students in the Instructional Technology Center located in the college library building. She does web development and design at home as well as tutoring senior citizens in basic computer skills. Jana was a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 30 yrs before changing careers. She also teaches Beginning Photoshop for the County School Office.

Certified Personal Trainer / Zumba Instructor
Catherine is the author of, “Keep the Change: Transform your Body for Good”. She coaches clients using the T.E.A.M Technique which she developed to help create permanent positive behavior change. Her presentation includes a Zumba demonstration, so be prepared to move.
John Lisle

Jeff Stail Jefe, Twisted Oak Winery, Vallecito, CA
Jeff worked for many years in the data storage industry, designing hardware and software for disk drives and storage networks, as well as being a key player in defining industry standards like SCSI, Firewire, and Fibre Channel. He now runs a winery, managing marketing, brand building and sales with a twist.
Christina Wilkinson
Owner, Sabre Design and Publishing
Christina is an award winning artist and designer. She has also worked with major nonprofits for over 20 years in the areas of development, creation and marketing. This experience gives her a unique perspective on using social media to fulfill a nonprofit’s goals.
