Small Town Tradition holds true to “Honoring our Past” in Moke Hill on July 4th

Mokelumne Hill, CA....Small town tradition and charm march down Main Street in Mokelumne Hill for their annual 4th of July parade and celebration. One of the oldest continuous 4th of July parades in the Mother Lode, viewers will be entertained with horse riders, antique cars and trucks, floats and wild diversions, marchers, cowboys and wondrous moments of fabulous fancy. A spectacular display of fire engines and trucks is the perfect finale. This year’s parade theme is “Honoring our Past”....

The day starts off with the Veterans pancake breakfast starting at 7am in the
Town Hall; leading to the parade which starts at 11am. Children’s games and races will begin after the parade in Shutter Tree Park.

Vendor booths will crowd north Main Street with parade and carnival goods, the famous Lion’s Club bratwursts and the Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters’ Association selling t-shirts, nachos and bar-b-qued pulled pork sandwiches from the old fire house on Main St.

Many businesses and homes on Main Street will be hosting coffee, pastries and tours of historical interest. The recently restored Mokelumne Hill Town Hall will provide a quiet respite with historical displays and photographs.

Bring your chairs, your children and grandma and have your hearts touched with 4th of July magic, Moke Hill Style.
