Dear Candidate for Board of Supervisors,

Please answer the below question by Thursday, May 17, 2012, 5 PM, at which time we will forward your comments to the media. Please use less than 300 words.

The Copper Gazette and the PineTree have promised to print your reply verbatim. In addition, we will share your reply with all media, our members and our list of community leaders.

Question:

What is your opinion on the attached proposed county resolution to expose UN Agenda 21?

Thank you for your public service. - Al

Response from Joe Kelley:

"I agree and support the resolution to expose UN Agenda 21. UN Agenda 21 is not ratified by the United States of America. I believe UN Agenda 21 is a subversion of the Constitution of the United States of America. UN Agenda 21 continues to infiltrate all government, the June 9, 2011 Executive Order 13575 reads in part: Strong, sustainable rural communities are essential to winning the future and ensuring American competitiveness in the years ahead. The Executive Order reference "sustainable rural communities," which is a reference to "sustainable development" the nomenclature for the United Nations Agenda 21 program What is sustainable development in the United Nations Agenda 21 program? It calls for government to curtail and even eliminate your freedom to travel as you please, own a gas-powered car, live in a suburban or rural areas, determine the number of children you may have, determine the "rates of harvest" of farms and fisheries, eliminate your private property rights through eminent domain, and increase the price on goods and services through artificial shortages and new consumer taxes. Does that sound familiar? In Calaveras County, we were given Delphi Technique strategies for the General Plan's land use. The people were given 3 options with the same outcome, the implementation of UN Agenda 21 strategies of giving up our Constitutional rights. The latest UN Agenda 21 tentacles issue was the approval of the Toulumne-Stanislaus Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP). Only Supervisor Spellman voted "NO".
I recommend reading Undermining Freedom in Calaveras County by Tonja Dausend, published by the Calaveras County Taxpayers Association.
My suggestions to Calaveras County Government:
Remove UN Agenda 21 strategies from the General Plan & Elements.
Respect liberty, property rights and Constitutional law.
Stop the subversion of the Constitutions (U.S.A. & California)
Elected representatives and government employees respect the "Oath of Office", SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION! "

Response from Bryce Randall:

"The first time I heard anything about U.N. Agenda 21 was while attending a Calaveras County Board of Supervisor's meeting when it was brought to the attention of the Board by the CCTA. Because I had no knowledge of the U.N. agenda, or it's contents, it didn't make any sense to me, but I thought if it was important enough to CCTA to bring it up in a meeting, then I should do some investigating of my own. I began to do some research and then while attending my first Tea Party meeting it was again addressed. I don't think most people know anything about it or that a U.N. resolution has anything to do with us locally. Some people belong to local well meaning groups, without understanding the connection that is there, if only in common, good intentioned goals.

We may not have people from the U.N. running around our county but the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (I.C.L.E.I.) has been as close as next door in Amador County. The wording used by U.N. Agenda 21 and I.C.L.E.I. is also used by groups here in our county.

I would encourage everyone to do their own research and form their own opinion. In my opinion, if the goals of U.N. Agenda 21 are to subvert our personal rights and freedoms through local, regional or global manipulation, in any form, then it needs to be stopped.

I would support the passing of the proposed county resolution. We should not be afraid to take a stand against any intrusion to our rights as American Citizens.

Bryce Randall
Candidate District 2 Supervisor"

Response from Tom Tryon:

"__I am strongly opposed to agenda 21 and to your proposed resolution. The spirit of agenda 21 is incorporated in much of state law. Your resolution would deny the county the ability to apply for planning and department of transportation grants. The county has applied for a Cal Trans grant for the copper community plan update. Also to have a legally defensible general plan, the county will need to incorporate some agenda 21 principles in the updated general plan per state law. Please, no more questions on agenda 21. Let us discuss issues over which the county has discretion. Tom"

Calaveras County Resolution
Exposing United Nations Agenda 21

WHEREAS, the United Nations Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of extreme environmentalism, social engineering, and global political control that was initiated at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992; and,

WHEREAS, the United Nations Agenda 21 is being covertly pushed into local communities throughout the United States of America through the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) through local “sustainable development” policies such as Smart Growth, Wildlands Project, Resilient Cities, Regional Visioning Projects, and other “Green” or “Alternative” projects; and,

WHEREAS, this United Nations Agenda 21 plan of radical so-called “sustainable development” views the American way of life of private property ownership, single family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms; all as destructive to the environment; and,

WHEREAS, according to the United Nations Agenda 21 policy, social justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment which would be accomplished by socialist/communist redistribution of wealth; and,

WHEREAS, according to the United Nations Agenda 21 policy National sovereignty is deemed a social injustice; now therefore be

RESOLVED, that in order to protect property rights, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors recognizes the insidious nature of United Nations Agenda 21 and hereby exposes to the public and public policy makers the dangerous intent of the plan; and therefore be it further

RESOLVED , that neither the U.S. government nor state or local government is legally bound by the United Nations Agenda 21 treaty in that the treaty has never been ratified by the U.S. Senate; and therefore be it further

RESOLVED, that the implementation of United Nations Agenda 21strategies for “sustainable development” at the federal and state and local governments across the country will have destructive repercussions and we hereby endorse rejection of its radical policies and rejection of any grant monies attached to it.

CCTPA throwing mud not helpful

Listing well-meaning Calaveras County groups in the CCTPA's brochure against Agenda 21 just shows me how "off the rocker" these old guys are.

And to say the local peple don't know that they are being used to promote Agenda 21 is an insult to the intellilgence of those volunteers.

Agenda 21 is just another ploy of the Tea Baggers to distract people from solving the real issues like getting Congress to work together and fixing our deplorable budget.

Instead of getting their knickers in a twist and blaming people, why doesn't the CCTPA try and work WITH other groups?

Heh, heh! I won't insult your intelligence since you have none as shown by your inane and mean spirited comments. What is your point of contention?. Think about what you have said and then try again but with a little civility.

As long as we keep electing incumbents to the job this issue and all others will remain out there. We would not keep a professional in position to work on anything for us personally if they fail to achieve the objective they were hired for, yet we continuously re-elect politicians after they have failed to achieve the objectives they were "hired" for. By the time a politicians second election rolls around they are already courted by so many special interests you can not trust their votes at all. For instance when was that General Plan supposed to be done? Maybe a Board that knew they were only serving a maximum of two terms might of got it done. Agenda 21? Spending a lot of time on a discussion or a clout-less resolution for this seems a waste of time at the county level. I have to agree with Tom Tryon(and my fingers hurt typing this), let the subject go, this county has bigger, immediate problems that can be addressed...especially by a Board of fresh Supervisors.

The ideals and goals of the UN via Agenda 21 are at the core of the new General Plan for Calaveras County. Unless, of course, you are a Supervisor who has his property excluded and is allowed to sub-divide it into small parcels and also voted to disallow any other county property owner from doing the same thing........the ruling class is alive and well in Calaveras County....and King Tom is doing very well(It's good to be the King!)......

Throw them all out..........install a two term limit on BOS tenure.......and pro-rate the cadillac benefits by years served.....too late to save anything now on Tryon and Callaway.........they will cost us millions in the years to come.

But hey, you voted for them over and over........pay up & shut up.

Our supervisors have EARNED their benefits and pensions. I'm very thankful and appreciative that both Tom and Merita have served for many productive years. They bring stability to our BOS and keep the focus of what is really important. I'm tired of the cheap insinuations that some of our leaders are only in office to feather their own nests. Where are the facts???? I want to keep our lovely Murphys just the way it is , and will strongly support both Tom and Merita for another term.

Don't think anyone debates that, but the positions were not intended to be life long positions. It is time they stepped aside. We do not need stability on the Board, we need innovation.

Silly idiots who don't know the facts behind, or the history surrounding Agenda 21 will lead us down a path of tyranny and oppression. Global elitist, backed by the UN, have been trying to usurp our constitutional rights through treaties with our federal government, and through laws and policies enacted at the state and local level. Take notice that this is beign done without the public getting to vote on it.

You people are nuts... All this 21 hysteria is without fact. Why don't the big brave property rights folks take on Cal Fire who is taking away your property rights. They come on your property and search and nosy around without a search warrant. They make you destroy your trees and forest ambiance.. Yet you do nothing. Is that because the Koch bothers did not give you a web site and script for your ideas?

That would be nice if it was true. Agenda 21 is strictly a means for the New World Order to bring all into the fold. You'll figure that out when your rights are gone, they tell you where you can live, what you can drive and what you can eat.

Agenda 21
Posted on: 2012-05-22 05:47:48   By: Anonymous

Rather than snipe at each other, why not go to the planning department and ask to see if restrictions will be applied to your parcel (10 acres or more) when the new GP is passed. In my case (16 acres), my options will change from the ability to subdivide into 3 x 5 + acres to include one primary dwelling and one accessory building on each, to just one primary dwelling and one accessory building, total. I'm told that new rule will apply to up to 40 acres, and this was all orchestrated by The United Nations, through their surrogate, ICLEI, without my permission. If you live in town, on a small lot, then be concerned for those of us that live on larger lots. If you have an interest in tracking this 'global' movement from 1954, I recommend the book by Daniel Estulin, titled, The True Story of the Bilderberg Group (with lots of photos of your favorite politician - both parties). We are slowly losing our Rights, Freedoms & Sovereignty, and Agenda 21 is but one branch of this cancer.

Calaveras Cuunty is already deciding that future parcels of LESS then 5 acres cannot have horses. And no verbiage as to whether existing lots with no homes yet can be grandfathered in with horses allowed. Be careful what you laugh at people. It is not funny

Most of us live in the country because we like a rural way of life. I don't think anyone who actually lives here (at least those of in the more rural parts of the county) wants to see 40 acre parcels divided up into 80 half acre lots. If you want that type of thing you can move to Stockton. It's not a conspiracy led by the UN, this is what the majority of people here actually want.

I moved up here to be left alone - to get away from busybodies telling me what I can and can't do with my own property. If I bought property with the right to subdivide, no one should be able to take that investment away from me without paying for it.

Buyer beware. Know what the rights are of a neighborhood before you buy. That way everyone can get along.
