Are you looking for a fun, free and healthy way to entertain your children this summer? ...Come to – Kids’ Day in the Garden!
San Andreas, CA....Do you know the benefits of outdoor exercise and healthy eating but aren't sure how to inspire your children to stay fit and eat well? on Saturday May 12th the University of California Cooperative Extension, along with First 5 Calaveras and the Prevent Child Abuse Council Calaveras are inviting children and their families to the Master Gardener's Demonstration Garden in San Andreas for a fun event kicking off the beginning of gardening season. Kids’ Day in the Garden will be two hours of concentrated fun and learning focusing on the health, social and financial benefits of gardening. ...
You and your children will have an opportunity to participate in exciting hands-on and interactive activities including face painting, nature’s artwork, eating from the ground up, compost critters, bug mania and more. In addition, food demonstration and taste testing of healthy, easy garden snacks will be provided.
Come play in the garden and get your family growing!
All activities are free, no pre-registration necessary
