Sierra Nevada Logging Museum Now Open!
Arnold, CA...The Sierra Nevada Logging Museum on Dunbar Road in White Pines (down Blagen Road from Arnold) is now open and enthusiastically receiving visitors. We have a number of new exhibits, including a wonderful collection of prints that we just received from Jerry and Ramona Sachs of Arnold. The prints were framed and matted through the generosity. of the Arnold Lions. Some of the photos, especially the very large ones, are of the ....

.Blagen Mill operation. Amazing! We also received a number of lithographs of historic scenes in Calaveras County including one of Dunbar Meadow where Mr. Blagen built his mill and lumber operation in 1938. The lithograph shows the house and outbuildings in the meadow.There are also photos and lithographs of the Calaveras Big Trees, which if you come soon, you can see in our museum. We are passing these on to the Big Trees Park soon where they will remain.
