Betty Lou Reidy 1930-2012

San Andreas, CA...Betty Lou Reidy passed away on April 1st at age 82. Born in San Diego to Willard and Ina Denton, Betty was raised in El Monte, California, and had been a resident of Calaveras County since 1985. She is remembered by her many friends and family for her gregarious personality and giving heart. She was a former employee of Human Resource Council and attended San Andreas Community Covenant Church....





Betty enjoyed gardening, sewing, thrifting and word searches. Her hobbies included collecting watches, birds and roosters. She loved being around her family and friends. Mrs. Reidy was proceeded in death by her husband, Jack Reidy, daughter, Eileen McKim, and brothers, Willard Denton Jr., Albert Denton, and Richard Denton. She is survived by her brother, Clifford Denton of Doyle, CA, Sister in law, Marie Denton of Mariposa CA, children, Marty Hughes of San Andreas, CA, Bill (Karen) Harvey of Reno, Nev, John (Marietta) Reidy of Arlington, TX, Susan (Tim) Moon of Gilroy, CA and Thomas Reidy of San Andreas, CA. Her spirit lives on in her 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held at San Andreas Community Covenant Church on April 9 at 11:00a.m., private internment.
