(Updated) Drugs a Contributing Factor in Fatal Head On Accident that Claimed the Life of Corazon Hicks
San Andreas, CA...On Friday at approximately 2:05pm a 28 year old Copperopolis man under the influence was driving a 2003 Acura MDX northbound on Pool Station south of San Domingo Creek at approximaely 50 MPH. A 49 year old Jamestown man and his 71 year old passenger Corazon Hicks were traveling Southbound on Pool Station Road. Due to his level of intoxication, the Copperopolis Man allowed his Acura to cross into the southbound lane where it struck the Jamestown drivers Kia head on....

Tha Acura's driver was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital with moderate injuries.
The Jamestown Man driving the Kia was flown to Memorial Hospital in Modesto with Major injuries. His passenger the 71 year old female was transported to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital where se later succumbed to her injuries.
Drug influence was a factor in this traffic collision..
They are still completing notifications of family members so it will probably be Monday morning before her identity is released..
