Bret Harte Basketball...the Steamroller Continues for 2012! ~By Patrick Works

Angels Camp, CA...February 9, 20112...Bret Harte High School Boys Basketball program seems to be onto something as both the JV and Varsity Bullfrogs swallowed up the Buffaloes last night in Angels Camp. The Junior Varsity Bullfrogs held nothing back, as a foul-laden slugfest with Amador had the crowd tipping back and forth on their bleacher seats through to the end. Nothing was certain except the whistles blowing as a hotly contested game went into the final quarter...Bret Harte put on the push with a powerhouse drive in the final minutes to win it, but the Amador JV team gave it all they had....

Over 100 photos on the way!!!

The Amador Varsity squad, however, seemed to have nothing. In particular they couldn't defend to save their lives, a play, their team; and certainly not this game. While it's true the 'Frogs can shoot (Hello Mr. Radford!...35 points?!), last night's game was decided under the basket as well, as nearly every shot either scored or attempted by either team was brought back by Bret Harte. It was clear in the first quarter how this one was going.

Bret Harte Varsity Boys put them away 74-46, just as they have put away every team they have met this season. 13-0...the steamroller is driven by a Bullfrog!

Absolutely undefeated is a difficult place to find one's self. Everyone looks to take you out.

So far Bret Harte has taken everything thrown at them, and fired it back with a vengeance. Angels Camp hasn't seen anything like this in years. Don't miss the next one!

Last night's point leaders for BH Varsity:
Radford: 35
Zambach: 17
Riner: 6

Amador Varsity:
Thomas: 13
Perry: 8
Crocker: 8
