Miss Calaveras Applications Now Being Accepted
Angels Camp, Calif.–Applications to enter and compete in the Miss Calaveras Scholarship Pageant are now available at the Fairgrounds administration office or at frogtown.org. The program seeks versatile young women who are intelligent, articulate, charming, talented, sincere and healthy in mind and body with warm, outgoing personalities. In order to compete in the Miss Calaveras Scholarship Program young women must be between the ages of 17 and 23. Reside in Calaveras County and have a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average. There are four areas of competition, Interview, Health and Fitness, Talent and Evening Gown.
Nine different scholarships will be awarded at the competition. The scholarships range from $100 to $1,000. As a contestant young women attend several pre-fair events prior to the pageant Thursday May 17. The Stage competition is an exciting event for Fairgoers as part of the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee’s opening day activities.
