Angels Camp, CA..."For death begins with life's first breath And life begins with our Lord at touch of death" Unknown After enjoying a great day, Howard Wesely II went to sleep to awake in heaven with our Lord. Howard was born March 1,1959 in Great Falls, Montana the son of Ophthalmologist Dr. Howard Wesely and Mitzi Wesely, RN. Most of his life was spent in Modesto, California where he became a chess master at a young age. Upon graduation from Grace Davis High School Howard attended Whittier College majoring in Political Science. With an avid interest in coins, he chose to pursue a career in numismatics for he loved coin collecting, a passion which he shared with his father beginning at the age of five....

In 1993 Howard opened Calaveras Coins and Collectibles in the heart of the legendary Mother Lode in historic Angels Camp, California.
Howard was a purveyor of fine numismatic coins, bullion and other historic American treasures. With over 40 years experience in the numismatic marketplace, combined with a deep passion for history and unbridled enthusiasm for rare coins, tokens and currency he provided serious collectors of all levels from beginner to the most advanced with quality, accurately graded, eye appealing specimens of exceptional value.
A walking encyclopedia on most collectibles, Howard provided his customers with knowledge, integrity and confidential, friendly service.
For the last 7 years Berlene Horne has been Howards faithful right hand coworker and devoted friend.
Howard's untimely death has been a shock and his loss will affect us for many years.
A fabulous husband and partner, businessman and friend to so many, Howard leaves behind his wife Merinna, two step children, his mother, two sisters, two nieces, a nephew, aunts and uncles, but we will see him again.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday January 24 at Angels Memorial Chapel, 1071 S. Main St., Angels Camp, Burial to follow. A celebration of life reception will be held at the Gun Club 2403 Gun Club Road, Angels Camp.
