Glory of Christmas at St. Gabriel's Mission!~by Patrick Works
Angels Camp, CA....Celebration of the day of Christ's birth is the basis of our Christmas season. History of Christian practice in the western world lies deepest in the Christian Orthodox tradition. We in Angels Camp are blessed to have a congregation who have kept alive that tradition...and are not here but are a growing faith community! St. Gabriel's Mission is just across Vallecito Road from Tryon Park in Angels Camp. From the outside it does not look like much...

If you there during worship...and on special Saints' and Holy Days...look out!
Swarms of kids, sounds of songs and representations of Saints that will thrill your heart and soul....all are there!
This reporter was honored with an invitation to meet the congregation, get to know the kids, and learn from them the true story of St. Nicholas.
After the story of St. Nicholas was finished, to all our surprise, St. Nicholas himself came to visit the kids!
The kids all got treats, a chance to speak with St. Nicholas, and to ask him where he might best direct his gifts.
We at thePinetree.net are asked to attend many events. Blessings brought us to St. Gabriel's to enjoy this celebration.
