Glencoe, CA...Philip Lawrence Avallon of Glencoe passed away Friday Oct. 14th, 2011 at the age of 57 after a long battle with liver disease. Philip was born May 2, 1954 in Peabody, Mass to Donald & Laura Avallon. After his discharge from the Army in 1973 he moved to Portland, Oregon where he worked for Portland Williamette. He then moved to Glencoe, CA in 1982 where he had lived for the next 27 years....
He worked at Oak Hallow Landscaping & then Georgia Pacific prior to becoming disabled. After becoming disabled he spent his time enjoying his passion of sports by playing softball, coaching his son's baseball teams & umpiring. As well as watching his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics & the Boston Bruins. He is survived by his wife Terry, his son Wade & daughter Courtney all of Glencoe, his mother-in-law Marie McWherter of Mokelumne Hill, Sister Flo Evans, Brother Al Avallon both of Massachusetts, Brother Donald of Arizona & numerous neices & nephews.
