Tuolumne Democrats Pack Opera Hall for Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom
Sonora, CA...The Tuolumne County Democratic Club hosted Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom on Wednesday October 12th at the Opera Hall in Sonora. We were told by organizers that over 300 people attended. It was a packed house to hear his address. The Lt. Governor and former Mayor of San Francisco covered a wide range of topics. One point he brought up is the bifercation of our society into the "Haves" and the "Have Nots" and questioned if our society can survive and function if we stay on the current course. Parts of his comments were meant to inspire as well. He mentioned some of the great things about California and

still said the best is yet to come for the Golden State.
When he was in our area he also spoke at Columbia College.
